Feature Project

Property Coaching Process

Third Garden’s Director, Spiro Skiadopoulos, teamed up with a Melbourne-based investor to undertake a development project in the city’s eastern suburbs. The investor aimed to develop a block of land into two standalone houses.

With Third Garden’s expertise, the investor and Spiro began to search for the right opportunity.

Guidance Through Real Estate Purchasing

In the suburb of Ashburton, an older-style home became available on the market.

Third Garden’s team assessed the property’s growth potential and advised that it was the right opportunity to meet the investor’s needs.

With Spiro’s guidance, the investor purchased the property at auction.

Adding Value Through Smart, Strategic Plans

Upon purchasing, Spiro led the investor’s team through the process of adding value to the property. Third Garden interviewed architects, planners, and buildings and began to curate design ideas, floor plans, fittings and finishes.

Upon receiving quotes from multiple builders, the Third Garden team awarded the building contract to the best fit and works commenced. The existing home was demolished, and the block excavated to allow the construction of two contemporary triple-storey homes.

Spiro and the Third Garden team oversaw the project from start to finish. Construction of the property was documented and filmed for the popular Build Me a Home series on Channel 72.

The Result: A Stunning Luxury Property

A breathtaking contemporary design, lavish finishes and generous proportions define the exceptional near-new luxury family home. Boasting an enviable location — walking distance to Ashburton Village and station, plus schools, parks and the aquatic centre — this large corner block was excavated to allow two 3-storey, four-bedroom townhouses to be built.

High ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass offer a sense of endless space, capturing abundant natural light throughout. A vast open plan living and dining room features a modern gas fireplace and dark timber floors. Appointed to the highest standards, the gourmet kitchen boasts stone waterfall benchtops, premium Miele appliances, and a large walk-in pantry. The living areas open to a private north-east garden with a covered alfresco dining terrace.

A light-filled double bedroom with designer ensuite and walk-in robe is situated downstairs, providing a luxurious guest room or extended family living potential. Upstairs, a generous master suite offers an opulent ensuite, walk-in robe, and luxe balcony with city views. Two upstairs bedrooms offer built-in robes, sharing a stylish bathroom with a freestanding tub.

This home is impeccably appointed with a security system, video intercom, powder room, laundry, three-car basement, and spacious wine cellar or storeroom. (see below).
